3-D viewable laptop

TOKYO —

Toshiba Corp will launch a laptop that can show 3-D images in late July following announcements by its rivals Fujitsu Inc and NEC Corp that they plan to release desktop computers with a similar capability this summer.

The dynabook TX/98MBL, which is expected to sell at the price of some 250,000 yen, has a 15.6-inch liquid crystal display and a Blu-ray disc drive, which enables users to see 3-D images in games and movies with special glasses.
