Rasmussen Reports has performed a new telephone survey of likely voters, and they have found that president Obama is virtually tied with Republican Congressman Ron Paul for a presidential run in 2012.
42% of respondents support President Obama, while 41% support Ron Paul. 11% of voters support another candidate, and 6% are undecided.
Democrats favor Obama by 79%, while the GOP favors Paul less, at 66%. Independent voters favor Paul 47% to 28%.
