Green Energy Technology Nearly 100 Years in the Making

Solar Aero, a New Hampshire research company, has unveiled their new Fuller Wind Turbine, a bladeless wind power turbine based on a patent issued to Nikola Tesla in 1913. The turbine features a screened inlet and outlet, which protects wildlife.

The entire assembly is inside of the turbine´s housing, so the only movement detectable by an observer is the rotation of the entire housing as the turbine adjusts to face the wind. The company also says the electricity cost is appealing.

According to Solar Aero, the turbine will deliver electricity at a lifetime cost of about 12 cents per kilowatt hour, comparable to the cost of electricity from coal-fired plants. The turbine should also have few lifetime maintenance requirements.
