China follows similar actions by the United States and South Korea by abolishing a travel ban on HIV infected persons.
On Jan. 1 people with HIV were allowed to enter the US and South Korea. On April 19 China decided to allow persons with HIV, leprosy and sexually transmitted diseases to travel to China.
The changes took effect immediately. One reason for the lift is that it was not convenient, especially with international events in the country.
