A man from Minnesota has been named the tallest man in the United States. Igor Vovkovinskiy was measured Monday night on The Dr. Oz Show. He measured 7 feet, 8.33 inches tall, which edged out a sheriff deputy from Virginia. Igor, who is 27 years old, is originally from Ukraine. He moved to Minnesota with his mother when he was seven years old to receive treatment for a pituitary disease, which is what spurred his rapid growth.
Igor is now pursuing a degree in paralegal studies at the Minnesota School of Business. Guinness says that the world´s tallest man is Sultan Kosen from Turkey, who measures at 8 feet, 1 inch tall.
