A new study suggests that short people (under 5 feet 3 inches) have a 50 percent higher risk of heart problems than do their taller (5 feet 9 inches) counterparts. However, there are more important factors.
Weight, blood pressure and smoking are greater risks to heart health than being short. "We don´t want to scare short people, but perhaps they should be extra cautious about their lifestyle," a researcher not connected to the study said.
